Intuit - TurboTax Major Fail in 2014 Version

Intuit the company behind TurboTax is currently finding out how quickly the Social Media and Internet can decimate a company.

They apparently have tried and upgrade deception on it's long-time user base for TurboTax Deluxe version and are not including many of the schedules in the automated interview process or inclusion of those schedules in the include efile. Their answer is that you have to get the Premier version which is twice the cost of the Deluxe version to get the features you've had for 20 years. To make it worse their VP - Bob Meighan is putting up horrific answers to the reasons they did this to their customers and making promises that are not true about fixing it if you've already bought TurboTax Deluxe. He even goes so far as to tell people in posts that it isn't forcing them to buy Premier TurboTax, they can fill the forms out manually in TurboTax Deluxe and mail them to the IRS. If you want to read some of these ridiculous posts just read the 2014 TurboTax Deluxe reviews on Amazon for starters. If I were the CEO of Intuit Bob Meighan would be fired by the end of the day if not sooner.

It appears that 2014 H&R Block tax software will import the prior years TurboTax and do all the things that TurboTax Deluxe won't do not and it is even less expensive. As a long-time TurboTax Deluxe user, H&R Block tax software is where I'm heading for my tax software this year.
